Ark Aid Street Mission

Picture
The Ark Aid Mission is an amazing organization dedicated to creating tools and
services to help people get back on their feet and start more productive and
more joyful lives. The Ark Aid Mission generously gave The New School of Colour its first home, and continues to support NSoC in many ways, including offering space, staff and volunteer support. Drop-in sessions are hosted weekly in the Ark Aid basement studio.

Color Company Decorating Centre, Para Paints

Picture
Thanks to Mark Johnston and the other people at London's locations of Color Company Decorating Centres for their regular donations of Para Paints. They bring some of the colour to The New School!

The Framing and Art Centre

Picture
Thanks to Sarah White at The Framing and Art Centre for regularly supplying quality paper products to The New School of Colour. Sarah is an active London community member, supporting many great causes, and NSoC is proud to be one of them!

UP with ART

Picture
UPwithART is London’s best arty-party for relief of homelessness – an evening of
entertainment celebrating art in all its forms. Proceeds from the event are split between the artists and The Unity Project. The New School of Colour has a great partnership with the Unity Project, as many New School artists at the Ark Aid studio also participate in the services provided by The Unity Project, located just across Dundas Street.

Grit Uplifted

Picture
Grit Uplifted is a creative writing and arts magazine featuring
writing and visual art by people who are homeless, at risk of homelessnes, or
have experienced homelessness. Art from The New School of Colour is regularly
featured in the magazine. The new issue is available now! Learn more about it on our Shows page.

London Potters Guild

Picture
London Potters Guild is a group of potters seeking to improve their craft and share clay art throughout Southwestern Ontario and beyond. Located near The Ark Aid Street Mission, the London Potters Guild has been a very supportive neighbour to The Ark and The New School! The London Potters Guild has generously donated clay and tools for our New School artists.

London CAReS

Picture
London CAReS is an integrated strategy to address the needs of individuals living with the effects of poverty, homelessness, addiction and mental illness in the communities in which they live. London CAReS has been promoting The New School of Colour program to the Londoners they support. We appreciate London CAReS recognition of The New School of Colour as a helpful venue for people dealing with homelessness and affordable housing issues.
